Zagreb, 4th of February – "We have found ourselves in a time in which the political system has completely lost the values of solidarity, freedom, equality, equal rights, the right of choice of lifestyle. That is a common occurence during economic crises. It is up to us to retrieve these values for future generations and an optimism sorely needed in Croatian society", said CPP's vice-president and Minister of the economy Ivan Vrdoljak to the attendees of a seminar about modern techniques of PR, held last weekend in Vodice, organised by CPP's Political Academy and the Friedrich Naumann foundation for freedom, says Business.hr.
"Politics is all around us. Whether we deal in it or not, it deals with us. It is a very important and honourable job. Be proud and never feel ashamed of your job, rather, show by your example how it can look and how some future or present, perspective Croatian local, regional and natioal politicians should look", said Vrdoljak.
The three-day seminar gathered around twenty spokespeople of CPP's county organisations and a series of interesting lecturers, chief among which were the aforementioned Ivan Vrdoljak, president of CPP's Šibenik-knin county organisation and parliamentary representative, the host of the seminar, Petar Baranović, as well as the head people of Friedrich Naumann foundation for freedom, Charles du Vinage and Toni Richard Crisolli. The spokespeople devised on-line campaigns, considered the obstacles and advantages of on-line political work, wrote statements and prepared two sample media events – a media conference and a coffee break with Vodice's citizens through workshops, lectures and discussions.
