Education ahead of local committees in Osijek

Osijek, 20th November 2014 - Within the 3rd Department of the Academy with the aim of organizational strengthening of the party, Head of CPP's Central Office Žarko Stilin gave a lecture on elections for local committees, which will be held in Osijek on 14th December 2014.

The lecture was attended by the presidents of branches and candidates on the lists for elections for the local committees in the City of Osijek. Stilin spoke about ways to promote and methodological procedures which can stimulate and activate the membership. Also, the Head of the Central Office shared the experience of the elections for local committees in Crikvenica, Rijeka and Zadar.

"Local government is the most direct form of democracy. Actually, it is the reason that everyone of us should primarily deal with politics. Believe me, I felt it as the president of local committee Selce before my arrival in Zagreb. At this level you can actually understand the real needs of the common man who is not bothered by ideological differences of the parties. This man cares for paved road, water, electricity, sewage. This man cares for a lamp in front of the house that works", said Stilin and concluded how it was a satisfaction to be the president of local committee.

"It is a real pleasure to be president of the local committee, but you must be aware that you must live it, not only work such a business. When you understand this, you are ready to engage in the game", finished Stilin.

After the lecture and the workshop, discussion was conducted about all the details and parts of the campaign that should be implemented on the ground.

"Thank you Žarko. I am sure that we will use many of the tips that you have pointed out today in your presentation", said Stjepan Čuraj, president of CPP's Osječko-Baranjska county organization.
