CPP of Krapinsko-zagorska on the importance of the work of the elected representatives in local and regional government

Gornja Stubica, 18th of April 2014 - Within the first department of the Academy for further education of CPP's elected representatives in in local and regional government, Krapinsko-zagorska county organization held a seminar on the work of the elected representatives related to professional fields and issues in local and regional government.

The seminar was moderated by an experienced team Anđelko Topolovec, Mayor of Radoboj county and Jasmin Krizmanić, Mayor of Gornja Stubica county. They also discussed about concession models.

Experienced CPP's mayors based their lectures on experiences from their municipalities and they explained in detail the methodology of work of elected representatives going through expertise area and topics in local and regional government.They also pointed out that the statute and the rules of the representative body are the main tools used to accomplish the agreed priorities and explained the scope of work of councilors in the municipal councils.

Also, using the example of the work of representatives from their municipalities they explained to everyone how and in what way to manage the assets of the municipality. On this topic they emphasized the principles of good governance, sustainable involving economic and social development, as well as environmental protection.

The seminar ended with the theme of the new concession model.
