Zadar, 29th of January 2014 – As part of the Academy's 1st Department for additional education of CPP's elected representatives in PL(R)SG, CPP's CO of Zadarska County held a seminar about the work of elected representatives related to expert field and subjects in units of local and regional self-governance.
The seminar was led by Vesna Sabolić, president of CPP's zadarska County and Ivan Parać, its teacher.
"In order to be successful in a unit of self-governance you must work as a team. In order to achieve stringency in a team you have to give and receive information in time, so it is concluded that work has to be transparent, friendly and in a team", said Sabolić.
Also, she highlighted in the continuation that the Statute and rules of the representative body are basic tools which are used to realise agreed upon priorities and the only way to act on a representative body is if you know the subject of development of local and regional self-governance well.
Ivan Parać, the Academy's teacher said to the attendees that a representative must cooperate with the party on all levels, as he must cooperate with other political parties in the council or assembly, and he also must take care about the distribution of seats within regular working bodies, administrative councils and supervisory committees.
The moderators highlighted at the end of the seminar that you always need to have a prepared list of candidates, party members for all seats, that are or will be at the disposal and that it must be coordinated on all levels of the party.
