Koprivnica – 13th of March – "There is no good campaign without research. The strategy must be concrete, and the message short and clear", said Vesna Moškon, Academy teacher of Koprivničko-križevačka county at the beginning of the lecture on political marketing in the local campaign.
On the seminar, there was talk about communication with the media in the election year, in which way to break through to the voters with one's own message and how to organise the mobilisational activities within the electoral headquarters which were used to emphasize the importance of political marketing in the campaign.
In the continuation she said that it is possible to determine who we will address in the campaign from public opinion surveys, which is so-called market segmentation. It is precisely due to this that public opinion surveys are exceptionally important for the local elections and sensitive subjects of every individual community.
Speaking about the field campaign and mobilisational activities in the campaign she dwelled on the ways of finding the best model of mesage dissemination by way of the local media and orally in the field. Moškon highlighted that a field campaign enables two-way communication with the voters with an intense volunteer engagement.
"Most of us present here have a compiled list of volunteers, and they are exactly the key to success. A large percentage of them are already engaged, because they are an important channel of message dissemination. Let's count on them, let them help us to the best of their ability", highlighted Moškon.
Speaking about communication with the media and how to break through to the voters with one's own message, she highlighted a series of points which need consideration and repeated the importance of preparation several times. Speaking about the local portals, she noted that it is always good to service them with good photographs, which most county branches already do.
The seminar ended with an exposition on both examples of adaptation to the media rules and the wise use of communication channels with the goal of achieving as large an efficiency as possible, and the education was held as part of an extended Presidency session.
