Gornja Stubica, 7th of March – Speaking about the importance of political marketing in the local election campaign, Marija Puh, secretary of the Northwest-croatian regional alliance, lectured about the importance of coordination and communication of people in the electoral headquarters and the importance of a media appearance. The education was held for the head of municipality candidates on the forthcoming local elections of Krapinsko-zagorska county.
"From now onwards the coordination of all appearances and activities which should be arranged between the candidates, strategists, the media advisor and the headquarters leader are most important. It is important to define the key messages which must be short and clear, which must be repeated consistently and continually from the candidate to the party members in the field", she started the education.
Speaking about the field mobilisation of the campaign she said that it is important to motivate the members and symphatizers of the party for them to actively engage in the campaign, establish a two-way communication with the voters and ensure a communication adapted to the target groups.
"It is important to include the members and symphatizers in the campaign, because they will give the campaign a completely new dimension, especially in our small communities, and who says that you as municipality head candidates of our county can't do much for your locality", highlighted Puh.
She spoke in the continuation about the importance of media and a media appearance where she mentioned a generally known fact that media space is quite expensive. Regardless of that it is important to note that, as she said, the widest range of people will be introduced to the candidates through the media and that the media have a large, if not key role in the formation of the impression about the candidates and events.
She emphasised that the broaching of the common message through every individual action and appearance mustn't be forgotten and that every piece of information which is to be sent must be repeated many times through a variety of channels.
"Classic media, social networks, e-mails, the internet, text messages and personal contacts must be used during the dissemination of the message, because the key to victory lies in the message", concluded Marija Puh.
