An education for future mayors and municipality heads was held

Varaždin, 26th of February – An education about communication with the media during the election campaign was held in the facilities of CPP's Varaždinska county for the candidates on the forthcoming local elections.

As part of the education the candidates for mayors and municipality heads were informed about the regional media situation on the market, the specific of certain media, the methods of establishing effective relationships and were thorughly introduced with the tools used in relationships with the media.

The participants expressed satisfaction with the education because it has, as they said, significantly clarified and brought closer the importance of using the correct tools in public relations, especially when it comes to relations with the media, and an agreement was reached for the education to continue through interactive workshops with simulations of a television and radio performance with them being recorded and later analysed, while the participants of the training will apply the acquired knowledge and skills in their own communities until then.

The education was led by county secretary and candidate for deputy prefect Alan Košić and spokeswoman of Varaždinska county Iva Janežić.
