pocetak skolice webZagreb, 20th February 2015 - Political Academy of Croatian People's Party - Liberal Democrats and the International Education Center launched a first generation of the study entitled "Management in the institutions of the state".

"After ten years of work, CPP's Political Academy has decided to go a step further and organize such a study with the aim to educate interested participants for positions in the civil service. We believe that this type of training is necessary, given the very short tradition that Croatian institutions have. We believe that the participants of this study will acquire general knowledge and practical skills required for successful performance of public functions and participate in the process of formulating and implementing public policies and make a new step in their career", said the head of the Political Academy and CPP's Member of Parliament Boris Blažeković.

The study program will link ex-cathedra lectures and workshops during the three semesters, which will give participants the opportunity for a comprehensive education that will include theoretical knowledge and practical skills. The program is designed for political practitioners, public officials and other interested persons who want to take a leading position in the process of policy-making. The ultimate goal of the program is to train a group of political professionals and future high-ranking public officials, trained for successful participation in policymaking, especially in the broader context of the European Union.

"In Croatia, this is the only interdisciplinary study that offers participants a wide range of knowledge in the field of historical, legal, political and economic sciences. We believe that after three semesters, participants will leave with knowledge and skills, with which they will be able, in a very short time, to overcome all obstacles that lie ahead", said Blažeković.

The first semester started yesterday at the premises of CPP's Political Academy in Tomićeva Street in Zagreb, and the first generation of the study will be released in July 2016.
Lectures and seminars will host professors from the Faculty of Political Science, Faculty of Philosophy and the Faculty of Law, University of Zagreb and many others: Tvrtko Jakovina, Luka Ribarević, Goran ÄŒular, Ana Petek, Gordana MarÄetić, Äana LuÅ¡a and Marijana GrbeÅ¡a. We believe participants will be able to gain quality education from the best possible sources.
