The activities of liberals in local and regional government

Zagreb, 24th February 2015 - From 20th to 22nd March in the organization of the German liberal Friedrich Naumann Foundation for Freedom, in Novi Sad, a seminar entitled "Possibilities and powers of local and regional governments in the promotion of small and medium-sized enterprises and in attracting foreign investment" was held. The CPP and Academy were represented by Stjepan Čuraj and Vinko Ručević, councilors of County Assembly of Osječko-baranjska County.

 

Čuraj and Ručević successfully presented the city of Osijek and Osječko-baranjska County and were actively engaged in the discussions on numerous topics that were open during the seminar.

They discussed the political situation in the region, the action of the liberals in the bodies of local self-government and the development of SMEs and simplifying procedures for SMEs, as well as attracting investment.

Besides our team at the seminar participated other liberal councilors from Croatia, Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro and Kosovo.
