Strengthening the cooperation of representatives of the liberal parties of South East Europe

zene slovenija webZagreb, 17th November 2014. - In Slovenia from 13th to 16th November a seminar was held for representatives of the liberal parties of Southeast Europe under the title "Regional Leadership Academy" which was attended by representatives of liberal parties of South East Europe. CPP and the Academy was represented by Sonja Kƶnig, president of the Women's Initiative and CPP's parliamentarian and Ana Maria Cerovečki, secretary of CPP's Women's initiative.

On this occasion representatives of liberal political parties from Southeast Europe exchanged experiences and discussed the situation in some countries of this part of Europe. They announced new initiatives for greater involvement of women in politics and strengthening mutual cooperation at the regional level and the European Union.

It was also an opportunity for the analysis of public policy with an emphasis on education and social entrepreneurship, especially in a situation of economic crisis.

Regional Leadership Academy, which was held under the patronage of the European Parliament, was organized by the European Liberal Forum Novum Institute, Swedish International Liberal Centre (SILC), Haya van Someren Foundation - VVD International, International Democratic Initiative Foundation - D66 International, in cooperation with the National Democratic Institute (NDI) and ALDE Party Gender Equality Network, whose president Flo Clucas also joined participants from the region.
