Zagreb, October 14, 2014 – Representatives of the Political academy of the CPP participated in seminars held in Zagreb and Belgrade on the responsibility in politics which was organized by the German liberal foundation Friedrich Naumann Foundation for Freedom with which the Academy has cooperated for many years.

Hinšt held a lecture on the importance of politicians taking full responsibility for the implementation of reforms.
In his lecture, Hinšt presented the „Ten commandments" of freedom, taking into account the criteria that define the economic freedom: 1. Minimal state, 2. Low taxes, 3. No public debt, 4. Fair justice system (rule of law), 5. Private property, 6. Honouring of contracts, 7. System that protects freedoms and our basic constitutional rights to life, property and liberty, 8. Better regulation for business, 9. Privatization of economy, 10. Free market.
„Croatia's lagging behind on the world leaderboards of competitiveness, easiness to do business and economic freedom which is the result of many factors, though primarily the consequence of high regulatory and tax burdens that are suffocating the freedom to do business, while at the same time justifying the existence of the ineffective part of the bureaucracy. The challenge of strengthening competitiveness of Croatia are its public policies and morality of the society for productivity and prosperity", emphasized Hinšt.
After an introductory lecture, three more thematic discussions were organized on public policies for economic freedoms, psychology of reform and a discussion on the theme of how much state do we need, on which were present guests from Serbia and BiH, as well as other participants of liberal parties from Croatia, resulting in conclusions that are important for the promotion of freedom and for those who make decisions.
„Pro-market reforms are an ideological question! We should learn this. Liberals are always for such an option", was the message of the participants in this seminar.
