CPP representatives marked the 100th anniversary of the First World War in Sarajevo

sarajevo final webSarajevo, 21st of March 2014 – Academy teacher and member of the Presidency of CPP's City Organisation of the City of Zagreb and expert associate CPP's Central Office Jug Puljizević took part on the marking of the 100th anniversary of the beginning of the First World War, organised by the German liberal Friedrich Naumann Foundation for freedom.

 

 

 

Continuing on their mutual successful cooperation, the Foundation also invited to the gathering both representatives of CPP and of CPP's Political Academy and our representatives were introduced to the interesting things from the 19th to the 21st of March which the Foundation unified under the title "Decay and growth - aspects of the centennial commemoration".

Vedrana and Jug took part in discussions about the causes and consequences of the war, experiences and facing the past, views into the future, and there was also talk about European Union accession. War as a means of politics, discussions about the role of education in conflict mitigation, solution and prevention of conflict, were just some of the interesting subjects.

Numerous activities which were carried out, enriched by interesting lectures about enlightenment and empathy and war as a means of politics was surely enriched by our duo, and the entire story ended with a tour of Gazi Husrev-Beg's library.
