Krapina, 2nd of October, 2014 – „The CPP has step by step proved very clearly, which is obvious in the Krapinsko-zagorska County, that by investing itself and working hard in the local community, what was promised can be achieved," said at the press-conference, held as a part of the organizational strengthening activities of the CPP for the Krapinsko-zagorska County, member of the Presidency of the CPP and Minister of Culture Andrea Zlatar Violić.
„The CPP's local leaders are characterized by their commitment to solving problems for the benefit of their citizens, as it is clear that we do not cause bankruptcy in our cities, rather we try to remedy a bad situation when and where we find it," said the member of the Presidency of the CPP, adding that the Krapinsko-zagorska County Organization has been most successful in bringing young people into the party, who are motivated to join the CPP as they see the party as steadily advancing.
„We are organized very well and one of the leading parties in the county. The best example for this are the last year's local elections in which we have identified a growth in the number of elected heads of municipalities and councillors, which is a clear sign that citizens recognize our efforts," said the president of the CPP's County Organization of the Krapinsko-zagorska County Anđelko Topolovec.
„Though the Krapinsko-zagorska County Organization of the CPP is dedicated to the development of education and investment in the youth on the level of the entire county, the results are most visible in municipalities under our leadership", said Topolovec, also mentioning the projects of the CPP's Heads of Municipalities, like the distribution of free study books in Jesenje, Lobor and Radoboj.
The CPP's MP Boris Blažeković said that without educated people, it would be tough to effectively govern the country, adding that education remains a priority of the CPP. Blažeković also commented on the issue of electoral law and the gathering of signatures for a referendum on that topic.
„The CPP's position is that the electoral law is too important to be discussed in a populist way. Electoral law determines the political system of a county. For any change in this regard, a serious discussion is needed as well as a consensus of all the major parties. Changing the electoral laws in a different manner would border on political adventurism, while using instruments of public information for personal interest is completely unacceptable for the CPP," said Blažeković.
The CPP's MP Marijan Škvarić said that the CPP, through its majors, heads of municipalities, prefects and ministers, works for the benefit of their fellow citizens.
„The CPP works for the benefit of their fellow citizens in a most concrete way possible. Our political actions have content and we do not dabble in populism. We offer concrete solutions. We do not make outrageous statements just so that we could be cited by the media. We deal with real problems, which our citizen can recognize," said Škvarić.
