Zagreb, 13th of March 2014 – "In the forthcoming period it is important to save the strength in order to be able to realise our goals tomorrow. That is the art of politics", highlighted Jozo Radoš, president of CPP's representatives' Club in the parliament and CPP's candidate on the europarliamentary elections during a visit by members of the Caprag branch of CPP's Sisak subsidiary to Croatia's parliament.
"It is exactly that which is expected from you on the local level, in a council or local committee. Citizens in the majority have a negative approach towards politics, especially when they notice that negative subjects dominate in the parliament. Believe me, there isn't much talk about good subjects, and negative subjects are interesting to the public. Of the 151 representatives there are truly those who very expertly and responsibly do their job, and we are also one of them. Since you are politicians yourself, it is of an exceptional importance to bring politics closer to the citizens", said Radoš speaking about the way of work of parliamentary representatives and CPP's representatives' Club.
In the facilities of CPP's Club the members of the Caprag branch were received by Sonja König, Srđan Gjurković, and Veljko Kajtazi also joined later.
Srđan Gjurković, president of the Committee for finances and the budget spoke about the forthcoming activities in the parliament in which he counted the Law about the budget, and he also held up on details of work of parliamentary representatives which aren't visible to the public.
"A parliamentary representative spends one part of his/her time also on preparations for certain other subjects. This is the work in committees which is exceptionally important. So, regardless that work isn't always visible, it is unfolding the entire time and encpmpasses layered preparations. Of course, there are representatives which don't come into the parliament, but CPP's representatives are responsible to the citizens and we do ou job. We thank you for visiting us and wish to explain to all of you today our way of work in order for you to be able to introduce your colleagues in the field with all information", said Gjurković.
Blažeković highlighted that the work and responsibility of a parliamentary representative shouldn0t be valued the same as an employee that has a work contract.
"Parliamentary representatives were elected by citizens on democratic elections, and every parliament in the world, as well as this one in Croatia has been elected by the people. Of course, it is exactly due to this reason that the work of a parliamentary representative carries great responsibility, that the citizens should put pressure on parliamentary representatives. CPP is accomplishing this task successfully", highlighted Blaževkoić.
Veljko Kajtazi expressed happiness that he joined CPP's Club, even though he is not a member of any party, and introduced everyone present to the problems that the Roma minority faces in Sisačko-moslavačko County, but also the positive things which have been started in the past two years.
"We could have done better, 20 years ago there was also the possibility of fixing things, but there was no initiative that we have today", concluded Kajtazi.
Apart from a discussion with CPP's parliamentary representatives, the members of the Caprag branch participated in a session in the gallery led by the vice-president of Croatia's parliament Milorad Batinić.
The visit was held as part fo the Academy's 3rd Department with the goal of organisationally strengthening the party and the next one in the Academy's organisation will be held on the 9th of April when we will be visited by the subsidiaries of the City Organisation of Zagreb which didn't participate in the visit on the 26th of February.
