Members of Zagreb subsidiaries visited the parliament and the Academy

sabor zagreb webZagreb, 27th of February 2014 – As part of the Academy's 3rd Department with the goal of organisationally strengthening the party members of Novi Zagreb - east and west, Trešnjevka - north and south, Gornja Dubrava, Črnomerec and Donji grad subsidiaries visited Croatia's parliament and the Academy.

 

 

The hosts of the visit were Sonja König and Igor Kolman, CPP's parliamentary representatives, and the visitors from Zagreb passed the tour through two halls, that of Ivan Kukuljević and Ivan Mažuranić.

The were received in the facilities of the representatives' Club by Milorad Batinić, vice-president of Croatia's parliament, who greeted them in the oval hall beforehand and Ivica Mandić, while Nada Turina Đurić joined up afterwards, since there was a discussion in the parliament about the Law about work. Stanko Borić, advisor to the Club and acting secretary of the City Organisation of the City of Zagreb followed the discussion between his team  and the parliamentary representatives with great interest.

The parliamentary representatives which were present introduced the participants with the work of the Committee and everything that the work of a parliamentary representative encompasses when he or she isn't visible on the small screen.

In the facilities of the Academy an interesting meeting about work and its difficulties in subsidiary presidents' work was held, and Boris Blažeković, the Academy's director, spoke about the subject.
Blažeković, apart from a very detailed and interesting lecture about subsidiary presidents' work, went through some other subjects and there was also talk about regionalisation and decentralisation of Croatia, and with it the City of Zagreb, about the "For and against" referendum, representative democracy adn the influence of media on the perception of the public about politicians and the state.

"Leading the state demands justness, knowledge, energy and time. It is a complicated process, and CPP is a strong enough party, as well as its worldviews", said Blažeković and in the continuation touched upon investments, the results of the local elections in the City of Zagreb and put importance on the responsibility of everyone which, of course, includes the past and future work of subsidiary presidents of CPP from the City of Zagreb.
