Visits to Croatia's parliament show the importance of political engagement in the field

djurmanec webZagreb, 13th of February 2014 - As part of the Academy's 3rd Department for the organisational strengthening of the party, members of Đurmanec, Budinšćina, Krapinske Toplice, Zabok, Krapina and Sveti Križ Začretje subsidiaries from CPP's krapinsko-zagorska CO visited Croatia's parliament and showed that visits such as this one show the importance of political engagement in the field.

 

 

 

Before the tour of Croatia's parliament everyone was greeted and welcomed by Andreja Horvat Friščić, Head of the Office of the parliamentary vice-president. After the tour accompanied by Sonja König, from the Service for citizens and a parliamentary representative, everyone present attended a session led by vice-president of Croatia's parliament Milorad Batinić from the gallery.

In the halls of the representatives' Club everyone present was greeted by Jozo Radoš, president of the Club and parliamentary representatives Sonja König, Goran Beus Richembergh, Srđan Gjurković and Marijan Škvarić.

Jozo Radoš spoke about the work of the Club and parliamentary services and committees, as well as the functioning in the coalition. He also glanced on the importance of work in the field and highlighted that strong work in the field can bring to better functioning of the party. He specially highlighted the responsibilities and problems of work that follow parliamentary representatives, and there was talk about the methodology of technique and work conditions of parliamentary representatives. Goran Beus Richembergh glanced on the functioning and way of work in the coalition with a remark that the awareness of citizens about politics must be raised. He lauded the political engagement of CPP's COs in the field and encouraged everyone present in further political engagement. Srđan Gjurković spoke about the work of parliamentary representatives on the example of his own experience.

After an official visit to Croatia's parliament a work meeting about work and its difficulties in CPP subsidiary presidents' work wasn't held, as is usual. Namely, Boris Blažeković, the Academy's director and CPP's parliamentary representative spoke in the parliament at the same time in the name of CPP's Club. He gave a report about the work of the electronic media council and the agency for electronic media for 2012. It was concluded that a lecture on the same subject would be held next month, when Blažeković will visit CPP's krapinsko-zagorska organisation.

The next visit organised by CPP's Political Academy is planned at the end of the month of February when Croatia's parliament and the Academy will be visited by members of the City Organisation of the City of Zagreb.
