Zagreb, 28th January 2015 – "Without liberalism there would not be realization of the freedoms that exist in today's world, but with these freedoms comes responsibility for what an individual does. However, education and building positive values achieves awareness of these freedoms and responsibilities", said at the public debate on fundamental values of liberal politics Head of the Academy and CPP's Member of Parliament Boris Blažeković.
Speaking of the ideology of liberalism, Blažeković underlined the importance of the relationship of liberal politics and individuals, relationship of liberal politics and civil society, liberal politics and the state, as well as positions of liberal policies in matters of formation of international relations.
"The state must be in the service of the individual, as CPP as Liberal Party from its very beginnings emphasized. Therefore, it is important to build values within the political parties, as well as the importance of events like these public tribune. It is the responsibility of all parties to give people the knowledge, resources and energy to turn from the apathy that prevails in our society, to use their own knowledge and abilities to change society for the better", noted Blažeković.
The public tribune was held in cooperation of CPP's city organization of City of Zagreb and 2nd Department of Political Academy for advanced education in general policy, and opened by vice-president of the same and CPP's MP Sonja König.
