"Energy efficiency is a necessity to reduce thermal energy consumption"

Karlovac, 29th October 2014. - "Energy efficiency is CPP's project, which we propagate for a long time and such projects are the necessity to reduce thermal energy consumption and carbon emissions", said Boris Blažeković, Head of the Academy and CPP's MP, at a press conference in Karlovac just before the public tribune on liberalism.

"Today in Croatia more than forty percent of the total energy is consumed in buildings and the percentage in recent years has been growing constantly. The state encourages and donates funds, and a loan is returned through the price of energy. In this way the reconstruction of three buildings in Karlovac is prepared", continued Blažeković.

In Karlovac this quality project may be particularly interesting to citizens because of the overall situation around the city heating plant and high heating costs. "We need to raise awareness of citizens and present these projects that can contribute to savings in the household budget the best we can", said the president of CPP's Karlovačka county organisation Dean Žabčić.

As to the position of CPP in Croatia, Blažeković pointed out that they are not satisfied with surveys in which they get a small percentage, but they are very satisfied with their work.

"CPP has 43,000 members who work hard and try to promote our policies. We are a National but Liberal Party. We try to get our liberal policy closer to the citizens", concluded Blažeković.

After the press conference, Blažeković held a public tribune titled "Liberalism and the position of the CPP in Croatia" where he talked about the basic ideas of liberalism, the stereotypes that accompany liberalism and liberal issues. Particular emphasis is placed on the importance of relationship between liberal policies and the individual, the relationship between liberal politics and civil society, liberal politics and the state, as well as the relationship regarding the point of view of liberal policies in matters of formation international relations.

The host of the whole event held within 2nd Department of Academy for futher education in policy was Dean Žabčić, the president of CPP's Karlovačka county organisation.
